Hello Pet Rest, I cremated my 12-year old dog Lennon at your facility on September 22nd. I wanted to say thank you for taking such good care of him for me. It meant so much to me to be able to see him one more time. I deeply felt the care and kindness that was taken by Pet Rest to give Lennon his last farewell with transparency and compassion. I appreciated everything from delicately trimming strands of his tail for me to keep to how gently his paw imprint was done. I also wanted to say thank you for giving me time with him as well. I love him so much. Thank you for everything. Sincerely, M.M

June 14, 2023 Even though an unrealistic thought, you never think that you are going to lose your child/pet - you feel that they will be with you forever. When reality hits you and they are gone, even as your world crumbles, you want to give your Little One the same love in the end that he/she had during their lifetime. We lost our Chinese Crested doggie, Mikko, far too early even though we knew it was for the best to let him go. We didn’t want his passing to have no meaning and wanted him to have a dignified and happy sendoff; with us at his side the entire time. So we chose Pet Rest in Peace. From calmly bringing him inside the facility, dressing him up and giving my wife and I time to grieve with our Little One at a private service, alone in peaceful surroundings; Dana and Danny were always caring, comforting, and compassionate. They allowed me to be a part of every step, from the private service dress up, taking several paw prints, to allowing me to give Mikko one last touch and kiss before cremation. It takes a special kind of person to perform the functions that Dana does on a daily basis, and I told her so. I was allowed to witness the entire process, as heartbreaking as it was. In the end, Mikko was returned to us in a beautiful urn, a reminder of the love that Mikko had for us and we will always have for him. Mikko is back home with us now, perhaps not physically but in spirit forever. Thank you Dana, Danny, and Pet Rest in Peace for helping us.

Recently we made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to end our senior girl’s suffering. We wanted to ensure that our beloved pet was cremated privately to ensure we received her ashes only. We found your service on line and my partner called and spoke with you. I cannot say enough good things about the service you provided, as well as the compassion you both showed us. It was a heart wrenching day and you both went out of your way to make sure our pet was treated with respect and we were comfortable with the process. We cannot thank you enough for your kindness. You can be assured that if we have the opportunity to refer your service to friends in need, we will!!

Thank You to Marisol and Pet Rest In Peace Memorial. Our dear 9 years old yorkie, Dash, passed away this morning. I called around to a few hospitals and Crematories for quotes and how the process works. However after speaking with Kurt who was so professional, kind and reassuring we decided to go with Pet Rest. My family and I were emotional wrecks when we arrived but Marisol assured us Dash was in good hands. The care, attention an empathy Marisol showed us made this extremely hard process much more bearable. Marisol explained the cremation process and walked us through it step by step. I would recommend Pet Rest to anyone going through a difficult time like this. Marisol and Pet Rest are Heaven sent. ❤️

I would like to give accolades / praise to this office in Secaucus NJ by Caroline and Joanna who were there for our family on Sunday January 30,2022 at 3pm. My cat Sasha passed onto the Rainbow 🌈 earlier that day and we needed to find someplace to take her. Luckily we found Pet Rest In Peace. They were both so caring, Professional and compassionate. The office offers paw prints to be taken, and there are various urns, wooded boxes (ones for pictures to be added , or without), I even noticed caskets. Plaques can be personalized to be placed on the box with your pets name. They have couches / chairs for you to sit. Even a small table top meditative waterfall with small 🪴 by it. I wish no one needs this service, but the reality is we all do at some point. This place, I would give the highest amount of stars ⭐️ If I could . I only wish I knew about them earlier , because the other place I used in the past was not as nice as this. I hope whoever finds this review useful and I’m sorry for you loss , but if you need a place to bring your beloved pet, I highly recommend them. I Thank you again Caroline & Joanna for being so kind to us. I’m still tearing as I write this. Pets Are FAMILY !!!! I miss my girl so much. Thank you. Yvonne Walsh

Caroline and Jose made a difficult, sad time in my life easier. My Francesca was a sweet, and loving, beautiful cat. She deserved the best for the 16 1/2 years of love and companionship she gave me. At Pet Rest In Peace, she was handled gently with care and respect. The singular cremation was done with dignity and I was able to return home with my baby's ashes the same day. It gave me solace knowing I was with Francesca every step of the way and did not have to leave her and wait weeks to bring her home again. The Staff was kind, compassionate and professional. They know how much we love our pets and treat them with the care and respect they deserve. I cannot thank Caroline and Jose enough for their kindness and compassion to me and my baby at this most difficult time.

“Our dog passed away during COVID 19 pandemic. Despite this, the facility still maintains professionalism and shows compassion to their customers. They allowed 2 of us going in at a time, giving us privacy to say our goodbyes. Because of Covid 19, we left the facility and came back roughly in 2-3 hours to pick up the ashes. Jose was very helpful and made us feel at ease. He walked us through every step of the process. After the private cremation process was done, Jose gave us a small complimentary candle and a book of Love & Remembrance to help with our grieving process. Aside from our experience, the facility is clean and well maintained. They have a variety of items that are available to purchase to commemorate your pet. We bought a beautiful photo cherry wood urn and two personalized clay paw prints. We are happy that we chose Pet Rest In Peace. Thank you so much for your service.”

Cody, thanks again for helping me get through the most difficult time of my life when it was time to finally let go of Hiro and have him cremated. From the first time you answered the phone, meeting you and finally doing the service, you made everything very personal and completely mindful of what I was going through. It doesn’t take away the pain but it does start the healing and for that I will be forever grateful. for Hiro | 7-28-19

Hi, My husband and I lost our dog Stewie this weekend. We brought him to you for help with his cremation on Sunday morning. My husband and I would like to thank you for helping to make that process as smooth as possible. Thank you so much for your kindness, patience and understanding during that difficult time for us. Saying goodbye is never easy but your facility was peaceful, tasteful and a very appropriate setting for us to say goodbye and not feel so bad about leaving him, We were so happy that we were able to take our boy home the same day and have him with us. You have no idea what a comfort that was to us. Stewie was a poor victim of a greedy puppy mil. He lived his whole life not wired right causing him to be fearful. The vet told us to put him down when he was three years old but we refused. We tried to make him comfortable and happy and made sure he knew that he was loved until he passed on his own. Later in life his fear agression made it impossible for him to leave our property. This is why is was so important for us to have him home right away as he had never spent any time away from his home. Thank you for making every effort to make the whole thing as bearable as possible. Your kindness is very much appreciated and won't be forgotten. Thank you again. J. Innis

Dear Cody, You made the toughest … most horrible memories different. Because your kindness and helping me in the hardest ways ever - made it all different in a way I can heal easier. It was not easy for me to ask of you for the help I needed. But, if you know Jewlie - you would be so proud of yourself. Anyone that loved her could never have seen her in that condition and not been heartbroken. My gratitude will be forever in a memory - because you caught my fall in a moment so painful - and stopped what others created carelessly. I'm so thankful you knew exactly what to say and do and I know it was hard. I was about to cave in and you prevented it. You have so much to be proud of. You deserve the best. I hope life gives you the same. Sincerely, Jewlies Mom.

Ahh!! After doing my research of where to take DJ, I finally found a place that I found very comforting. Since this is what I do for a living, only difference is that they are people instead of animals, I was very skeptical. They made this process as easy as it could be. I recommend this place a million times. The drive is worth the peace of mind. Hope to never visit again, but if I shall, this is by far the best place ever and only place! From the initial phone call to inquire to the actual visit to the final departure. He's now home with me after an hour wait.

7 months ago, my kitten Sheldon passed away from illness that we'd been doing our best to work with our vet to treat. In such an unfortunate situation, it was great to have contacted such compassionate and kind people. I could not have been happier with the services we received from these lovely people even though it took so long to write this review. I still wear the necklace I got here nearly everyday and I treasure the box with the engraving on it that I got in Sheldon's memory. They even went the extra mile and engraved a plaque for a family dog who passed away over 10 years ago. Nothing could have made my experience better. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dear Caroline: On behalf of my family, and our dear Sophie, I would like to thank you and Ariel most sincerely for the perfect ceremony and cremation last Thursday afternooon, August 4th. Not only did we find your services, advice and understanding truly compassionate, but we are also grateful, under the circumstances, that you were able to respond to our wishes so promptly, on the same day that Sophie passed away. It will not be easy living without Sophie. She had become such a vital part of our lives. I am sure, however, that she would wish us to remember our time together in happiness, not in the real sadness of recent days. Certainly, Sophie could not have asked for a more dignified and peaceful send-off. For this we are very grateful indeed. With best wishes to you and Ariel

To say we were devastated is a mere understatement, our beloved Miss Elizabeth has crossed the rainbow bridge. Upon my arrival, Carolyn couldn't have been any more loving, professional, caring and warm. She made me feel like we were friends forever, which put me in a much calmer state than I expected to be. Sadly, we must all experience a loss of our 'fur babies.' My suggestion to everyone is to contact Pet RIP.

Pet Rest In Peace Team: Thank you for setting up Bailey's tribute page and allowing me to be the Administrator. In the days after her death, I wondered about her as I traveled to and from work on the train as it passed your establishment. The tribute page has comforted me to know that she was not alone while in your care and has allowed me, my wife, and our friends to express our feelings about her as we mourn her loss. She is with us now in her lovely, personalized wooden urn. However, the tribute page is immensely helpful to cope with her loss and to celebrate her lovely and innocent life. Bailey was given to me with love by my wife on the weekend that we were engaged, and we cherished and spoiled Bailey as proud pet parents for six years. We now remember what a blessing it was to have Bailey in our lives. Again, thank you for the tribute page and the service that you completed for me and my wife. Best wishes, Kieran

We are grateful to Pet Rest in Peace for the sensitive handling of our beloved pet, Diezel. Both Kurt & Caroline managed our tragic situation with special care, love and kindness. Understanding the needs and feelings of pet owners seems to be their specialty as well as the excellent care given to our pet. The name plate on the urn is beautiful with room for a special memory or thought of the dog. And Caroline delivered our dog back home personally....no FedEx needed. We would recommend Pet Rest in Peace any time. And they work with Oradell Hospital here in New Jersey which allowed for immediate pickup and transport of our dog to the Memorial Center. We have used other services through Oradell but would refer anyone who wants their pet handled with care and love to Pet Rest in Peace. Thank you, Caroline and Kurt.

We just want to thank you for your compassion and help acquiring the perfect resting place for our little pal Shadow. The reason that this particular urn is special was because she used to take small red heart Christmas ordainments off our tree and hide them. Throughout the year we would find her hidden treasures in our home. When Shadow died, at first we thought a jewelry box would be a good place for her ashes because she loved jewelry. We started to look for a jewelry box on the internet, when we came upon a candy apple red heart urn with paw prints. As you know this urn was from a manufacturer in India and they did not have a distributor in the US. The crematorium where Shadow was cremated could not help us. Not wanting to give up, we searched the internet and found you and Pet Rest in Peace web site. We were so hopeful when the next day there was a voice message from you saying you might be able to help. I was very impressed when I spoke to you following day and found out that you had already contacted the manufacturer in India on our behalf. We have told all our friends and pet lovers about you and Pet Rest in Peace, how you truly understand what it is like to lose your furry pal. Kurt, we wish we could find the right words to express how much we appreciated you taking time to talk with us and help. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Hi, I just wanted to thank you and Kurt so much for everything you did for my pup Neve, myself and my mom. I am so grateful to you for every aspect of my experience with you. First for how professional, caring and quick your initial response was to us, to coming out in a snow storm within an hour's notice, to how professional and delicate you were when you picked him up and took him. And for the extra above and beyond service of a private cremation, which I truly appreciated given my financial situation. I can't tell you how much I appreciated everything you did for me. I am so sorry it took me so long to write, I have just been in a bad place with it all. He was my best friend for 12 years and it was a sudden death and shock. When I lost Nutmeg, my beloved cat that I've had since I was a child, I felt like I lost a part of my own heart in the process. 💔 In my mind, I expected this cremation to be done in the way such things usually are, but once I stepped through those doors. It was so far beyond what I ever could have expected even in my wildest dreams. The amount of care Dana and Samuel took to lay Nutmeg in a cat bed with an adorable paw print blanket, and the roses they put beside her was so profound that the gesture itself nearly moved me to tears. It was easy to imagine Nutmeg was just sleeping in that little cat bed, because she looked so peaceful, content and loved nestled among the blankets. It was exactly how I wanted our last moment together to feel. As I stared down at the beautiful crimson roses beside Nutmeg, I honestly felt some of the heaviness lift from my heart and even as I cried, I couldn't help but feel like I had truly been given the opportunity to say goodbye. Everything about that place from the soft music playing in the background, to the table top waterfall in the adjoining room that sounded serene and especially the overwhelming amount of pure compassion from the staff, made it feel like I was able to spill some of the grief from my heart into the atmosphere itself. I even got to have an impression of Nutmegs paw print made in clay that I can forever keep beside her urn and the small rose they gave me to adorn it. As well as an obituary put up online in her honor where our family and friends can post memories of her. In many ways this place was exactly what our family needed while we were grieving the loss of someone we've loved from the moment we took Nutmeg into our lives. This little hidden gem of an establishment gave me back the one thing I thought I'd never feel again...hope. Hope that Nutmeg had truly found comfort and could still feel our love for her even after crossing over the rainbow bridge. 🌈

Our beautiful little dog Figaro passed away over the weekend and we had no idea of what to do next. We checked online and saw Pet At Rest and gave them a call. Kurt answered and was very kind and supportive. We brought our Figaro to them and were able to get a private service, paw print, and a stand with a nameplate/statement for our urn. Both Kurt and his daughter were expecting us and were very attentive and consoling. It was so sad to lose our dog but Pet At Rest really made it as smooth as possible under terrible circumstances for us. I would highly recommend them.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! I called before they opened because my little on had just passed away, and the owner, Caroline, called back immediately. I was able to set up an appointment right away. They are so tremendously understanding. The girl who greeted me, Marisol, was very sweet, so compassionate, and accommodating, and gave us time to grieve and was very consoling. She treated our baby with so much love. And the place itself may not look like much from the outside, but let me tell you, it is very nice inside, very peaceful. I have 3 other pets…when that time comes, I will definitely bring them here! Gracias, Marisol, for being so understanding and being a sweetheart. The little Chi warrior’s family truly appreciated it.

Dear Kurt, I would like to thank your entire staff for helping our family through a very difficult weekend. On Thursday, January 11 we lost our 16 year old dog. Sandy was with our family since she was 5 weeks old. She passed peacefully at home and with your help we were able to have her finish her time here confident that you and your staff would take such good care of her. Thank you so much. Sunday, January 14th my daughters dog Mikey passed away from a long illness. Mikey died at home, I had fostered him when he was just born and he has been with us everyday of his life. I have been volunteering at the Bergen County Animal Shelter for over 16 years, fostering Moms and their puppies is what I do there, among other things too. I have seen you come and pick up beloved pets that have passed and each and everytime you handle them as if they were your own. Unfortunately over the past few years we have lost 3 other dogs and you have cremated them all. Thank you so much for giving us the peace of mind that they finished their journey in your hands. Dear Caroline and Kurt, I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the compassion, respect, and professionalism exuded during Mju's cremation. Mju succumbed to mesenteric lymphoma (after a brave 23 month long battle) the day before the cremation (Friday 7/28/2017 a bit shy of 4 pm). We expected him to pass since his health rapidly failed in the last week despite all medical interventions. It was extremely traumatic for our family and we didn't expect him to pass on that particular day. I rescued Mju (pronounced Mew- it's Norwegian for meow) from from a kill shelter as a 9 week old kitty on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. He earned his name from the car ride home (that's all he uttered the entire way home). I had him for almost 14 years and he put my shadow out of business 😊 When he passed, it was the end of the work week almost about closing time for most places. I quickly called a renowned Pet Cemetery in Westchester located not too far from me. I was treated quite rudely when I inquired about the cremation process and if I could schedule one the next day. The person who answered the phone stated that he was leaving in 15 minutes and asked if I could call back on Monday. He further explained that he didn't believe there was an opening for another week and that I wouldn't be able to pick up Mju's remains for another 3 days after the cremation. I performed a google search after that phone call and Pet Rest in Peace appeared in the results. Kurt expressed his condolences and gave me ample time to compose myself on the phone. I am forever grateful for your kindness. He informed me that there was an opening the next morning. We arrived the following morning with Mju and Caroline was exceptionally empathetic and understanding as well. She explained the process and made it seamless. We were able to leave with Mju's remains less than 90 minutes after we arrived. Thank you so much for helping us navigate through these incredibly challenging times. I am fortunate to have retained your services and would recommend your business in the highest possible terms! Warmest regards, Brian Scharf

Dear Kurt, Caroline & Dwayne: Thank you for your compassion and understanding on the day we said 'goodbye' to Jax. It was a difficult decision and the words were just to hard to say without crying. Kurt and Caroline, you were so patient and comforting. Thank you. It was important to us that we return home with Jax the same day, and in knowing we could stay with him ... provided us with such comfort. Thank you for taking such care with our little baby, and us. Warmest regards, Dawn & Steve M.

Dear Caroline, Thank you so much. I am glad I chose your service. My beloved dog, Happy, was cremated at your Pet Rest in Peace Crematory on Saturday, August 20th. It was one of the most difficult days of my life and I'm still grieving. Happy was with me for 15 years and 7 months. Ariel help me and David go through the process. She gave us as much time as we needed. Even though it was very sad and hard to say a final good-bye to Happy and see him go into the chamber, I was grateful that Ariel took him out of the basket and carried him with tender care. He looked as if he was sleeping. Witnessing gave me a relief and assurance that Happy was being cremated privately, and worked as a closure for me. I would recommend your service to anyone who needs private cremation for her/his beloved pet.

They're spectacular in every way. Losing a pet isn't easy, but the good people at Pet Rest In Peace make the pet cremation process, a difficult thing to do no doubt, simpler. I've been there twice. Each time I went I was blown away by their compassion and professionalism. Fantastic service and fantastic business owners.

I would like to thank you for the daily affirmations that I have received in the last 30 days. Every day I look forward to read it and try to cope with our loss of our beloved Rolie Polie Olie, my little boy. He was more than a pet or companion to us, he was a member of our small family. We miss him dearly and the pain of not having him with us is unbearable. The affirmations were so helpful and comforting. We are very grateful for your service and for the professional and compassion way we were treated through this painful time by you and your staff. Rolie was like a son to us and you treated and handled it just like he was a son. Thank you so much for that, and for your love and compassion. We brought our Rolie home with us the day of the service and you were the ones who made that possible. Blessings to you, Adriana Pirez and family.

Ariel, I just wanted to thank you for helping me through a very difficult time with my dog, Dixie. I actually can't believe how difficult this has been for me and continues to be, but you really helped a lot. After Dixie died last Friday at Oradell Animal Hospital, the hospital gave me a list of four places to call for having Dixie cremated. You were the fourth company I spoke with, but you were the only one of the four who actually treated me like a person and showed compassion about the loss of my pet of 11 years. It was just a business transaction to the other three. When I made the arrangements with you on Saturday, you again were very compassionate and understanding. You have no idea how much that meant to me. Thank you very, very much. I really appreciate the time you took when speaking with me.

Caroline, Thank you so much for taking care of my family and I and of course our little Mickey yesterday. Though this has been absolutely heart breaking, I felt comfort due to your kindness and understanding. Being greeted with your hugs and kisses made us feel that you knew how we were feeling. You made saying goodbye to our little one very personal, just the way we wanted. Mickey is now home with us in his beautiful urn. I have planted the little surprise left in the card in remembrance. I thank you again. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Sincerely, Rochelle Lao

Hi, Kurt. I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to you and your staff for the respect and care that was given to our little Lucky. Although this was a very hard time for me and my girlfriend you made the process as smooth as can be. Jay was very easy to talk to and made us feel so comfortable with the process. We asked him various questions and he always made sure to answer our questions in the best way possible. He was always respectful of us and Lucky. We are glad that we made the decision to say Good bye to him one last time before cremation. It allowed us to say our final good byes. We were never rushed and given the time we needed to say Good Bye to our little man. I just wanted to say thank you again for helping us through this horrible time. You and your team made this a lot easier to concentrate on what was important, remembering Lucky. Thank you, Stephanie and Nikki

Thank you Caroline for taking such good care of my Baci today and of us - although I had cried myself out well in advance you made me know that if I needed to wail and mourn loudly you understood and would be there to comfort me. Being greeted with a hug and kiss on first meeting - wow - just so kind. Your facilitlies are IMMACULATE and beautiful and peaceful - it was the best experience I have had in being a pet parent over 30 years and having to have 9 other pets cremated in the past. I will tell all my friends how wonderful your facility is - may you stay in business a very very long time - I will not think twice when I need your services again to make the call right away. God bless you and thank you again.

I recently lost my dog & while looking for a special urn for my dog's ashes we found this amazing cremation place by pure chance. Since we walked in I felt such a peaceful environment and I knew immediately that this was where I would want my dog cremated. The place was beautiful and Caroline was beyond helpful and explained us and showed us what exactly happens in a private cremation versus a regular cremation. I never knew that these kind of places exist for people who really love their pets & consider them part of their family. We ended up doing a private cremation and it was the most beautiful experience I could ever imagine. There couldn't have been a more perfect & beautiful way to say farewell to my little furry friend, who will always be in my heart. Kurt made our experience one to remember forever. He was so caring, understanding and compassionate, what a wonderful human being. Doing this private cremation gave me comfort and peace, and I felt my dog left with dignity. I highly recommend this place to anyone that loves their pet as much as I loved mine and considers them part of their family. As a matter of fact I was so impressed by this whole cremation service that I took some brochures and business cards and brought them to my Vet's office.

Thank you so much to you and your team for the kindness you showed River Song and my wife & I on Tuesday. It was a difficult day for me and very hard to say goodbye to my beloved fuzzy valentine. You created the perfect environment and I appreciated being able to say goodbye to River one final time. We were able to give River the send off the way that I wanted it to be and it just felt perfect. I also very much appreciate the memorial site that you provide and have been uploading photos already and lit a candle for my River. Finally, I love the 30-day messages - they are helping me immensely with my own grief, especially as this is the first true loss that I have had in my own life - Thank you again so very much.

First, I was so glad to find such a facility in Secaucus. I found Pet Rest in Peace brochures at the shelter where I volunteer and kept one just in case. I thought it was a responsible thing for a parent of a senior do to do. And, yes, it became really helpful, especially at the time like this when your mind wasn't together... From the moment Kurt answered my first call to the email replies Kurt and Caroline sent me even a few weeks after my Juliette passed and came home in an urn, they have been so caring, respectful, understanding and professional. They made me feel very comfortable to get through one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do in my life. Caroline was so respectful and considerate that she kept asking my feelings every step of the entire procedure and I truly appreciated that. Also, the kits they gave me are very helpful. I really like to receive the daily affirmations via email. They arrive at the best time of day and the messages fit so appropriately to my emotional state. My Juliette came home in a very pretty urn with paw print. She is resting very comfortably in there now and always watching over her mommy. I am grateful that we were able to have such caring assistance for the saddest time. Thank you!

Kurt, I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and support with Gulliver's passing. The books in your Pet Memory Kit are so comforting and lighting the candle you gave us joins one with others feeling the same as you. You made everything so much easier - because you really cared and it showed - again thank you so much - you are a good friend.
